In its second year, the Tufts WiT Conference strives to empower women and femme non-binary folks in tech, with a spotlight on intersectional identities. Tufts WiT 2018 is proudly produced by Tufts Women in Computer Science.

Our Goals
- To welcome high school students and undecided undergraduates into the tech community
- To facilitate students’ exploration of new areas of technology and development of existing expertise
- To foster a community that empowers women and non-binary folks in tech and spotlight intersectional identities
- To prepare students for upcoming career-related events (Tufts Career Fair, GHC)
- To introduce role models and mentors who want to share their personal and technical experiences with students
Looking Back: WiT 2017
120 AttendeesAttracting 120 attendees from 8 different colleges and 3 high schools, last year’s Women in Tech Conference established a tradition at Tufts of women and non-binary folks coming together to foster a community in technology.

12 WorkshopsWiT 2017 successfully introduced students to a variety of topics, ranging from an Introductory Python to Advanced Cryptography.

21 SpeakersDistinguished speakers at WiT 2017 include Kathleen Fisher, Chair of the Tufts Computer Science department and previously a program manager at DARPA; Deidre Diamond, CEO and Founder of CyberSN.com; and Saqi Mehta, tech diversity savant and Co-Founder of ReigningIt.
